What is the return policy?
Please make sure to review your order carefully before completing your purchase. We do not offer returns or refunds for items once they have shipped and been delivered. We are committed to providing high-quality products and services, and we stand behind our products. If you receive a defective product, please contact us within 14 days of receipt of your order to arrange for a replacement or refund. In order to receive a replacement, you will need to provide photos and/or video of the breakages and/or product defects.
Can I combine orders?
Yes! We are more than happy to help combine your orders. Just email us at lamplighterliterarycreations@gmail.com with your name and order numbers and we will take care of it for you. Once your orders are combined and your shipping label is purchased, we will refund what you saved by combining orders.
When will I get my order?
We typically ship out orders within 2-5 business days!
Please allow for additional transit time during the holiday season.
How do I care for my candle?
We strongly recommend trimming your wick to 1/4” or 1/8" before lighting your candle AND each time after the first burn. This keeps the candle from smoking and producing a large flame, which may lead to soot around the glass jar. Remember to ALWAYS remove the trimmed wick from the candle to prevent it from possibly catching fire.
We recommend burning your candle for no longer than 4 hours at a time for maximum quality and longevity. Once your candle has 1/2" of wax remaining, stop burning the candle—it’s time for a new one!
Why did my candle tunnel?
The most common reason for a candle tunneling is not burning it long enough the first time it was lit. The first light of a candle is important in ensuring a clean and even burn for every burn afterward.
The first time you light your candle, let it burn long enough for the melted wax on the surface to reach the edge of the jar. This may take 1-4 hours and is key to making sure your candle burns evenly every time! Don’t forget to trim your wick after.
Also ensure that your candle is away from any drafts or fans as this can cause uneven burning.
Do you offer custom candles?
Absolutely, we are more than happy to work with you to create a candle perfect for you or your book!
Here is some information on pricing and the process:
Tea lights (come in a plastic bag with custom round label on the bag): $2 per candle + shipping
2oz in amber jar with gold lid: $4.50 per candle + shipping
4oz in amber jar with gold lid: $8 per candle + shipping
9oz in amber jar with gold lid: $14 per candle + shipping
The process:
1) Wholesale orders require 50% of the payment upfront. After payment is received, we will collaborate with you on scents and labels until you are satisfied.
2) Production time is estimated at 6-8 weeks depending on the size of the order. Once you place an order, we will provide a more accurate estimate of production time. After the candles have been made and labels added, we will send you photos to ensure satisfaction.
3) We ship through UPS or USPS Ground Advantage, depending on which rate is cheaper. As soon as the candles are ready to ship, we will package and weigh them to calculate shipping costs. The final 50% payment and shipping costs are required to be paid before the candles ship.
